Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha has shared a heartfelt insight into her married life with Zaheer Iqbal, revealing that she insisted on living with her in-laws after marriage.
In a candid interview, the actress opened up about her strong bond with her husband’s family and how easily she fit into their close-knit circle.
Sonakshi Sinha discussed life after tying the knot with actor Zaheer Iqbal in 2024. She said her husband had once asked if she wanted to live separately from his family — but her response surprised him.
“Zaheer had asked me before marriage if I want to live separately from my in-laws, but I said no,” Sonakshi shared. “I told him, ‘I will live with them; if you want to go, you go.’”
Close-knit family dynamic
The Dabangg actress described her husband’s family as “chill and fun-loving,” saying they often travel together and enjoy each other’s company. “They are all very chill, and they have a lot of fun together. It’s a very close-knit family,” she said, smiling.
Sonakshi also mentioned that her mother-in-law doesn’t cook, which makes her feel more at ease in her new home. “My mother-in-law doesn’t know how to cook, so she doesn’t mind me not being in the kitchen,” she added lightheartedly.
Reflecting on her transition into married life, the 38-year-old actress said she felt an instant connection with her in-laws. “I fit right in from the beginning,” she said, expressing gratitude for their warmth and acceptance.
