18 terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna-ul-Hindustan were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by Pakistan’s security forces in Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in the Chiltan Mountains of Quetta District, where troops engaged a terrorist hideout following intelligence reports of their presence.
“During the operation, our forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense exchange of fire, 14 Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the ISPR statement said.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized from the site, with the slain militants reportedly involved in multiple acts of terrorism and sabotage across the province.
Four more neutralised in Kech district
In a separate operation in Buleda, Kech District, security forces raided another terrorist hideout, killing four more militants associated with Fitna-ul-Hindustan. The operation resulted in the recovery of additional weapons and explosives.
ISPR said the terrorists had been linked to several attacks targeting civilians and security personnel in the area.
Part of ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ counterterrorism vision
The ISPR emphasised that both operations were conducted as part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
Sanitization operations are continuing in both areas to eliminate any remaining threats, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to completely eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism from its soil.
