China’s Five-Year Plan offers model for Pakistan’s development under Uraan Initiative

Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong emphasized deepening Pakistan-China cooperation in governance, reform, and economic growth, highlighting Beijing’s newly adopted 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) as a model for Islamabad’s Uraan five-year plan. Speaking after the 20th CPC Central Committee’s fourth plenary session, Jiang noted that both nations share goals of improving citizens’ welfare, modernizing agriculture, and strengthening national development. He underscored China’s success in lifting 99 million people out of poverty and expressed readiness to support Pakistan in agricultural modernization and poverty alleviation, including through contract farming and machinery donations benefiting over 13,000 farming households.
