It was a positive update overall for Pakistan’s top cricketers in the latest ICC rankings.
Shaheen Shah Afridi moved up three places to 19th among Test bowlers, showcasing his steady improvement in the longer format.
In the batting charts, Mohammad Rizwan made a significant leap, climbing four spots to 16th, while Babar Azam also gained ground, moving two places up to 22nd in the Test batting rankings.
Global rankings: Root and Bumrah hold top spots
In the global standings, England’s Joe Root continues to dominate as the number one Test batsman, maintaining his lead over competitors with consistent form.
On the bowling side, India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains unchallenged at the top, although Noman Ali’s rapid rise suggests a potential shift in the near future if his form continues.
ODI and T20 rankings: Asian stars shine
In the ODI format, India’s Shubman Gill retains his position as the top-ranked batsman, while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to reign supreme among ODI bowlers.
Meanwhile, in T20 internationals, India’s Rohit Sharma tops the list of T20 batsmen, and Varun Chakravarti leads the T20 bowling rankings, underscoring India’s continued dominance in white-ball cricket.
