China is ready to work with all parties, guided by the spirit of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, to accelerate the all-round development of women and create a better future for humanity, a senior Chinese diplomat said on Monday.
Yin Haigang, charge d’affaires of the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Vienna, made the remarks at a special event held at the Vienna International Center. The event was co-hosted by the mission, the Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna, and the United Nations Women’s Guild.
Yin said the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women would inject new and strong momentum into the advancement of women’s causes worldwide.
Participants highly commended the significance of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, noting that China’s experience in women’s poverty reduction, health, education and employment offers valuable lessons for other countries.
During the event, women representatives from China and Austria shared their insights and experiences in education, culture and business, expressing their views on contemporary women’s development and inspiring broad resonance among attendees.
