All educational institutions in Rawalpindi, previously closed due to security concerns, will reopen from today (Monday).
However, the English examination for the Matriculation Second Annual in Jhelum district has been postponed. The Rawalpindi District Education Authority confirmed that schools will resume normal operations. Abrar Ahmed Khan, a representative of the Private Schools Association, also confirmed the development.
He added the closure had disrupted students’ studies and that the reopening of schools was a positive step. Meanwhile,BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan has announced that the English paper scheduled for Monday has been postponed in Jhelum district following a request from the deputy commissioner.
A new date will be announced later. The examinations in Attock, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Talagang and Murree districts will proceed as scheduled.
