ISLAMABAD : Lt Gen (r) Abdul Qayyum, Chief Patron of the China Pakistan Business Forum (CPBF), emphasized strengthening business-to-business (B2B) ties between Pakistani and Chinese entrepreneurs to boost bilateral trade and investment. Leading a delegation of Chinese investors to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), he proposed forming a permanent joint committee to enhance trade cooperation. ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood highlighted the focus of CPEC Phase-II on exports, renewable energy, digital economy, and youth training, announcing plans for an international investment conference. Sheikh Ejaz Asghar, Co-Chairman CPBF, proposed co-hosting a major investment conference with ICCI, while Chinese investors expressed commitment to supporting Pakistan’s industrial and economic growth.
