Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force, Lieutenant General Theyab Saqr Abdullah Al Nuaimi, visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad where he met Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, officials said Monday.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and expressed determination to explore new avenues of cooperation. The chiefs reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral military partnership through joint training and collaboration.
Upon arrival, Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi was presented with a guard of honor by a contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Air Chief Sidhu welcomed the delegation, highlighting the historic and religious ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, which he said underpin the long-standing defense relations between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in defense, training and knowledge-sharing, noting Pakistan’s deep regard for its strong diplomatic and military ties with Bahrain.
The Bahraini Chief praised the professionalism of PAF personnel and acknowledged Pakistan’s progress in self-reliance and technological innovation, particularly through initiatives like the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park. He also expressed Bahrain’s interest in benefiting from PAF’s operational experience in multi-domain warfare and showed keen interest in launching joint training programs for Bahraini pilots and engineers.
Later, the delegation visited the National ISR and Integrated Air Operations Center as well as the PAF Cyber Command, where they were briefed on PAF’s operational capabilities.
Officials said the visit reflected the shared resolve of Pakistan and Bahrain to deepen their military partnership and strengthen existing defense cooperation.
