Peshawar Zalmi has confirmed that Babar Azam will take part in an exhibition match to raise funds for flood victims.
According to details, the match will take place in Peshawar on August 30, with Peshawar Zalmi facing a Legends XI.
Proceeds from the game will be used to support the rehabilitation of those affected by the floods.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Peshawar Zalmi owner has announced an exhibition match to support flood victims, scheduled for August 30 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.
According to details, the franchise’s owner, Javed Afridi, confirmed the development on Tuesday, saying that all proceeds from the event would go towards relief and rehabilitation efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“Every ticket counts. One hundred per cent of proceeds will directly support flood relief and rehabilitation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Afridi wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He termed the exhibition fixture as “larger than cricket itself” and urged the public to participate, adding: “We stand with every flood-affected family of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is our time to reunite and rebuild together.”
