The “Echoes of Peace” cultural exchange event, co-hosted by China Media Group (CMG) and the Chinese Embassy in Russia, was held in Moscow on Monday.
Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and president of CMG, delivered a speech via video at the event. Noting that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, Shen said it is even more important to draw wisdom and strength from that historical era to face shared challenges together in today’s world.
Shen said CMG is ready to deepen cooperation with global partners by combining “ideas + art + technology” to create a media platform for news dissemination, information exchange, and resource sharing. The goal, he said, is to amplify China’s voice in opposing hegemony and upholding justice, while working together to address shared challenges and promote common development.
