Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has officially proposed to his long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez, marking the next chapter in their decade-long relationship.
Georgina, 30, announced the news on Instagram with a photograph of herself holding Ronaldo’s hand, a dazzling diamond ring prominently on display. In the caption, she wrote: “Yes, I do — in this life and in all our lives.”

The couple first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid and have since built a family together, raising three children of their own alongside Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr.
A ring to remember
Spanish media report that the engagement ring features an oval-cut diamond weighing between 25 and 30 carats. Jewelry experts estimate its value to be between $2 million and $5 million, depending on clarity and design.

The proposal comes during a busy season for Ronaldo, who is currently playing for Saudi club Al-Nassr and remains one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.
Through highs and lows
Ronaldo and Georgina have weathered both personal triumphs and tragedies, including the loss of one of their newborn twins in 2022. In previous interviews, Ronaldo had said he would marry “when the time is right.”
The engagement now marks a milestone for the couple, whose relationship has been in the public eye for nearly ten years.
