Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir during Multan Garrison visit reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to retain a decisive lead amid the changing nature of modern warfare
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday, the COAS was received at Corps Headquarters by the Corps Commander Multan and was given a comprehensive briefing on the operational preparedness and ongoing training activities of the formation.
Expressing satisfaction over the high standards of readiness, he lauded the formation’s professionalism and strategic competence.
Emphasises national unity in hybrid warfare era
Later, the army chief held an interactive session with members of academia and civil society, where he underscored the importance of national unity, civil-military synergy, and a whole-of-nation approach to countering hybrid threats.
He noted that societal cohesion and unified efforts are essential to overcome evolving challenges and safeguard national interests.
Z-10ME inducted into Pakistan Army Aviation
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir also presided over the induction ceremony of the state-of-the-art Z-10ME attack helicopters into Pakistan Army Aviation. The advanced all-weather platform, equipped with modern radar systems and electronic warfare suites, is capable of conducting precision strike operations during both day and night.
The COAS later witnessed a live firepower demonstration of the newly inducted helicopters at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges. The exercise showcased the platform’s capability to engage diverse aerial and ground threats, marking what the ISPR described as a significant leap in the modernization of Army Aviation.
“The induction of this potent system reinforces the Army’s integrated battlefield response and strengthens its capacity to deliver decisive effects against potential adversaries,” the ISPR noted.
COAS commends troops’ morale and combat proficiency
Interacting with troops on the ground, the COAS appreciated their exceptional morale, high standards of combat proficiency, and professional excellence.
He particularly lauded the successful demonstration of combined arms tactics, which reflected the Army’s determination to maintain a decisive edge in the evolving character of warfare.
