Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao held a video meeting with European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Maros Sefcovic on Tuesday, according to a statement released by China’s Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday.
The ministry said the two sides held “candid and in-depth” discussions on China-EU economic and trade cooperation and its key issues.
In addition, Wang lodged stern representations over the EU’s listing of two Chinese financial institutions in its 18th round of sanctions against Russia, the ministry added.
