At least 26 children were injured on Tuesday when a van carrying students from a private school plunged into a deep ravine in the Chakar area of Jhelum Valley, Azad Kashmir.
According to police, the condition of three of the injured, including the driver, is reported to be critical.
Superintendent of Police Jhelum Valley, Mirza Zahid, stated that the accident occurred near the village of Dhani Bakalan, where the van lost control and fell into a ravine. The van was transporting students to school when the incident took place.
All the injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital in Hattian Bala and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Chakar for medical treatment.
