Six people, including women and children, died and 18 others sustained injuries in a collision between a speeding passenger bus and a trailer near Langar Sarai, Kot Addu.
The accident occurred when the high-speed bus collided with a trailer, causing severe damage to the vehicle. The deceased included the bus driver, two children and two women, all of whom died at the scene.
Eighteen passengers were injured in the crash. Ten of them were transferred to Nishtar Hospital in Multan, while the bodies of the deceased and eight injured were taken to Muzaffargarh Hospital.
Rescue and police teams arrived promptly in large numbers and took part in the emergency response. According to rescue officials, the bus had been travelling from Alipur to Lahore.
