Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle on Thursday acknowledged the batting prowess and captaincy of Shubman Gill as the latter notched his maiden double century in the second Test match against England in Birmingham.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bhogle commended the batting display and resilience from Gill. “Beautiful from Shubman Gill,” he said.
“He has looked so serene and untroubled,” Bhogle said.
He said, “He has ascended to another level.”
India were dominating the hosts as the visitors were 564-7 at tea on the second day, with Gill unbeaten on 265 and joined by Akash Deep.
