The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced that a total of 42,000 Hajj pilgrims are expected to return to Pakistan tomorrow (July 2) as part of the ongoing post-Hajj operation.
According to PIA management, 24,000 pilgrims have already returned to Pakistan through 109 flights. The post-Hajj operation is currently underway, utilising aircraft from the national carrier’s fleet, including Boeing 777s and Airbus A320s.
The Hajj repatriation operation is scheduled to conclude on July 10, according to the PIA administration.
Separately, few days back, it was reported that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially commenced the mandatory registration process for Hajj 2026 pilgrims.
According to the ministry, the registration will continue until July 9, and no registration fee is required at this stage.
The ministry emphasized that early registration is compulsory for all intending pilgrims for Hajj 2026. Only those who complete this mandatory registration process will be eligible to perform Hajj in 2026.
