The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has awarded Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem Rs2 million over his success at the Asian Athletics Championship.
According to details surfaced on Wednesday, in addition, the Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) was granted Rs10 million to support Arshad Nadeem’s training. Coach Salman Butt was awarded Rs600,000 as an incentive.
Snooker players Muhammad Asif and Ahsan Ramadan each received Rs500,000, while Naseem Akhtar was awarded Rs100,000.
The Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) received a grant of Rs2.1 million and the Bodybuilding Federation was granted Rs2.5 million.
The Handball, Volleyball and Squash federations were collectively awarded a grant of Rs5 million.
The Judo Federation received Rs1 million, the Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation (PJJF) Rs2 million and the Pakistan Karate Federation Rs3 million in grants.
The Wrestling and Kabaddi Federations were each awarded Rs3 million, the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) Rs7 million and the Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) Rs1.1 million.
The Pakistan Winter Sports Federation received Rs2 million, while the Wushu and Sailing Federation were granted Rs1 million .
The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) received Rs2.2 million and both the Taekwondo and Tennis Federations were awarded Rs1.1 million each.
