A host of Pakistani cricket stars have been picked up by various franchises for the upcoming 2025 season of Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL), including top names such as Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Rizwan, Hasan Ali, and Shadab Khan.
Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan have all been selected in the prestigious Platinum category, confirming their status as some of the most sought-after international players in T20 cricket.

Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam has reportedly secured a pre-signing deal with Sydney Sixers, worth approximately Rs100 million (10 crore rupees), surpassing the base price for the Platinum category, which is around PKR 7.75 crore. Sources indicate that Sydney Sixers made a strong offer to secure Babar ahead of the draft.
This marks one of the largest Pakistani participations in a single BBL season, highlighting the growing demand for Pakistani talent in global T20 leagues.
