Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said on Monday that the upcoming budget will include measures aimed at providing relief to the poor and promoting economic growth.
Expressing his thoughts, Aurangzeb said, “It is not possible to change everything overnight; time is required.” He emphasised that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, there has been notable economic improvement. “We intend to carry forward the stability that has been achieved in the national economy,” he said.
“Several initiatives are being taken that will help move the country forward,” he stated. However, he added that it is difficult to comment on the budget in detail before it is officially presented.
It is pertinent to note that the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 will be presented tomorrow, Tuesday, June 10. The National Economic Survey was being released today. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has approved the schedule for the budget session.
