The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast light rain and scattered thunderstorms in various parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), while predicting hot and dry weather conditions in most other regions of the country.
According to the department, light rain is expected in several districts of Punjab, including Bahawalnagar, Multan, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan, where scattered thunderstorms may also occur. The cities of Khanewal and Dera Ghazi Khan are likely to experience light rain accompanied by gusty winds.
In the hilly areas of Punjab, particularly Murree and Galiyat, partly cloudy weather is expected with chances of rainfall, providing some relief from the otherwise dry conditions.
Meanwhile, most districts of KP are likely to receive rainfall, with rain accompanied by gusty winds forecast for Kohistan, Battagram, Swat, and Mansehra. Similar weather is expected in Abbottabad and Haripur.
The Meteorological Department further stated that Sindh and Balochistan will continue to experience extremely hot and dry weather, with no significant rainfall anticipated in these regions.
Citizens are advised to stay cautious, especially in areas expecting thunderstorms and strong winds.
