The report, published on Tuesday, highlights that concise prompts and specialised, lightweight AI models could reduce energy consumption by up to 90 per cent without affecting the quality of responses. The findings come amid mounting concerns over the environmental impact of generative AI tools such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Microsoft’s Copilot — all of which rely on immense computational power…

The United States has firmly rejected India’s assertion that Washington played no role in facilitating the recent ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India. US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce, during a routine press briefing in Washington, stated that “we stopped the war between Pakistan and India,” directly contradicting Indian claims of a purely bilateral resolution. Bruce further added that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance were closely involved in the de-escalation efforts. The remarks came in response to a question about Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri’s recent briefing to the Indian Parliament’s Committee on Foreign…

The announcement follows eight years of archaeological excavation and conservation work at the site.
