The preliminary postmortem report of actress Humaira Asghar Ali, whose body was discovered in a flat in Karachi’s Defence Phase VI area, has failed to determine the cause of death due to the advanced stage of decomposition, according to police and medical officials. Overseas Pakistanis have sent a record-breaking $38.3 billion in remittances during the financial year 2024-25 marking a significant 27 percent increase compared to the previous year. Punjab and other parts of the country experienced widespread monsoon rainfall over the past 24 hours, with authorities issuing warnings of potential flooding and landslides, especially in the northern regions.
