The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has completed excavation of the Dogah Tunnel, the fifth of seven tunnels in Phase 1 of the Karakoram Highway (KKH) relocation project. The 1,242-meter tunnel is part of efforts to reroute a 46-kilometre stretch of the highway that will be submerged by the under-construction Dasu Dam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The relocated highway will span 62 kilometres, with the remaining two tunnels expected to be completed within two months.

Pakistan’s total foreign exchange reserves have declined by $71.6 million, bringing the overall figure to $19.95 billion, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
