Naval and air units of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command (STC) on Tuesday conducted combat readiness patrols in the territorial sea and airspace of China’s Huangyan Dao and its surrounding areas, according to the STC. China and the European Union (EU) have confirmed the official establishment of China-EU trade and investment consultation mechanism as the two sides held the first meeting of the mechanism, according to a joint statement issued on Tuesday.
