Indian rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh is mourning the death of his nephew, Vidit Auluck, who was killed in a road accident in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
The other victim was identified as Aarav Talwar. Both died when a car returning from a birthday celebration crashed into a stationary tractor-trolley near the Police Lines flyover. The car was travelling from BMC Chowk towards BSF Chowk when it struck the tractor-trolley, which was parked on the road to collect rubbish.
At the time of the accident, municipal sanitation workers were cleaning the flyover, and the tractor-trolley was being used to collect rubbish. Vidit was reportedly the son of Dinesh, owner of Punjabi music company Speed Records, and the nephew of Honey Singh.
Police received information about the accident at around 3am. They said the families had declined to pursue legal action. Following the tragedy, Honey Singh expressed his grief through an Instagram story, describing the loss as the darkest phase of his life.
