LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Sports Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar Friday unveiled the logo of Pak-China Friendship Summer Games 2026.
Speaking at a press briefing at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Pak-China Friendship Games would be held in Lahore to mark the 75th anniversary of Pak-China friendship. “Pak-China Friendship Games would be organized at multiple venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex from September 24 to 28.”
He said that around 2,000 athletes from all divisions of Punjab would participate in Pak-China Friendship Games. “Around 70,000 athletes had appeared in Pak-China Friendship Games trials.”
He added that the top performing athletes of Pak-China Friendship Games would be included in Punjab Sports Endowment Fund on the directions of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz. “The competitions of Pak-China Friendship Games would be held in 11 games – table tennis, badminton, wushu, tai chi, gymnastics, athletics, basketball, football, tennis, volleyball and weightlifting,” he said.
He further said that Chinese athletes would also participate in the Pak-China Friendship Games. “The prize money amounting to Rs5 million would be distributed among the top performing athletes of the grand event.”
Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab celebrating Pak-China friendship in a befitting manner through a series of activities. “The Pak-China Friendship Games would further strengthen the bond between the two countries.”
