Pakistan, China activate Boundary Joint Commission in inaugural meeting

akistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation under the Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission, which held its inaugural meeting in Islamabad on September 16–17. The commission discussed border management, cross-border coordination, movement of goods and people, joint surveys and people-to-people linkages, with both sides signing minutes outlining a framework for future cooperation and agreeing to hold the next meeting in China. India objected to the commission, while Pakistan rejected the objections and defended the 1963 Pakistan-China Boundary Agreement.
