Kangana Ranaut has hit back at Rakhi Sawant over recent remarks about her, accusing the actor of making derogatory comments about successful women out of jealousy.
Kangana, known for her outspoken views on the film industry, responded after Rakhi criticised her comments about Gen Z and described her as a “gutter mouth”.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana said she believed unsuccessful and bitter people often targeted successful women to justify their “jealousy/envy, failures and ego”.
She added that women should not feel humiliated or pressured to repeatedly explain themselves in response to what she described as intentional public attacks.
Kangana also addressed remarks she said had been made about her by several members of the film industry.
“I see such people every day,” she said, referring to actors including Ashutosh Rana, Sonu Sood, Rakhi Sawant and Taapsee Pannu.
According to Kangana, Rana had criticised the way she spoke, while Sood had commented on her behaviour. She also accused Rakhi of making vulgar remarks about her character and alleged that Pannu had insulted her parents, upbringing and background.
Rakhi Sawant’s earlier remarks
Rakhi had previously shared a video criticising Kangana over her description of Gen Z as “generation gutter”.
She called out Kangana for the language used in her comments and described the actor as having a “gutter mouth”.
Kangana’s latest response comes amid a broader exchange of public remarks between the two actors.
Kangana’s upcoming project
On the professional front, Kangana is preparing for a psychological thriller with actor R Madhavan.
The project will reunite the pair following their previous collaborations in the Tanu Weds Manu franchise.
