The Ministry of IT and Meta have jointly launched the Small Business Growth Academy to help Pakistani small and medium-sized enterprises build digital skills and expand their businesses using modern technology and artificial intelligence.
Registration has opened for the free programme, with training sessions scheduled to begin in September and more than 1,000 SMEs across Pakistan expected to benefit.
The Small Business Growth Academy was launched in Islamabad as a joint initiative of the Ministry of IT and Meta aimed at strengthening the digital capabilities of Pakistan’s small and medium enterprises.
According to the Ministry of IT, the programme will provide free digital training to more than 1,000 SMEs from across the country.
The initiative is designed to help entrepreneurs adapt to a rapidly changing digital business environment and make greater use of technology to grow their enterprises.
SMEs to receive AI, digital skills training
Participants will receive training in modern digital tools, including technologies based on artificial intelligence.
The programme will focus on practical skills that can help small businesses improve their online presence, engage customers and expand their reach through digital platforms.
The Ministry of IT said the training will particularly help businesses make better use of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business to connect with existing and potential customers.
Women-run businesses have also been invited to participate in the Small Business Growth Academy. Industrialists and aspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to take advantage of the programme and develop skills that can help them compete more effectively in the digital economy.
The initiative aims to make digital business opportunities more accessible to SMEs and entrepreneurs across Pakistan.
