ISLAMABAD (DI NEWS) : On the auspicious occasion of the 79th Independence Day anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing held a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony at the Chancery today. Charge d’ affaires Mr. Aizaz Khan hoisted the national flag to the tune of the national anthem.
Messages of felicitations from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out that paid rich tribute to the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. They also emphasized to uphold the principles of unity, perseverance, and commitment to national ideals in the collective journey toward a stronger, progressive and prosperous Pakistan. In his remarks, Charge d’Affaires, Mr. Aizaz Khan extended warm felicitations to the Pakistani community in China.
He highlighted that Pakistan and China are commemorating 75 years of establishment of their diplomatic relations, which are seeped into deep-rooted friendship and trust. He also appreciated the constructive role of the Pakistani diaspora in contributing towards national development and further strengthening bilateral ties through people-to-people exchanges.
The ceremony also featured a photo exhibition, showcasing the various facets of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s life. The students of Pakistan Embassy College Beijing also gave performances on the occasion, conveying the message of steadfastness, perseverance and hard work. The event was attended by Embassy officials, members of the Pakistani community and their families as well as members of Chinese media, intelligentsia and civil society.
