Samsung’s next flagship lineup is already making waves ahead of its expected January launch.
The Galaxy S27 Pro, in particular, is drawing attention for its surprising battery claim.
Despite being a smaller variant, it may pack power usually reserved for Ultra models.
Samsung Galaxy S27 series overview
The new lineup is expected to include:
- Galaxy S27
- Galaxy S27+
- Galaxy S27 Ultra
- Galaxy S27 Pro
The Pro model is rumored to sit between the standard and Ultra variants, offering a compact flagship experience.

Smaller Display, Premium Features
The Galaxy S27 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.47-inch display.
It is also expected to resemble a “smaller Ultra,” though it will not include an S Pen.
Camera Setup
Leaks suggest the device will share the same main camera and ultrawide sensor as the Ultra model.
However, it is expected to feature a different telephoto camera system.
Battery capacity leak turns heads
According to a tipster on X, the Galaxy S27 Pro may come with a 5,000 mAh battery.
This is considered unusually large for a smaller flagship device.
The surprising part is that the capacity matches what is expected in the Ultra model.
The rumored Galaxy S27 Pro battery is also said to align with the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 5,000 mAh capacity, and its successor may retain similar figures.
For a compact phone, this places the S27 Pro in a strong endurance category.
Typically, smaller smartphones come with reduced battery sizes due to space constraints.
However, the absence of an S Pen slot in the Pro model is believed to allow more internal space for a larger battery.
