Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday met with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas in Islamabad
During the meeting, both sides acknowledged the positive trajectory of Pakistan-EU ties and agreed to further strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments, ahead of the 8th Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue which is being held subsequently.
Earlier in the day, Kaja Kallas arrived in Pakistan on Monday on an official visit at the invitation of Ishaq Dar.
During the visit, the DPM Dar and Kallas will co-chair the 8th Session of the Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue. The Dialogue is the highest-level platform for structured discussions between the two sides.
The EU HR/VP is also scheduled to call on the senior leadership, including the Prime Minister and the President.
Pakistan deeply values its long-standing, multidimensional partnership with the European Union, which is anchored in shared values, robust economic cooperation, and a mutual commitment to multilateralism.
This visit underscores the sustained momentum of high-level political exchanges between Pakistan and the EU and reflects a shared commitment to further strengthening the Pakistan-EU partnership.
