Pakistani actress and model Nausheen Shah has revealed the personal reason behind removing her hijab.
Speaking on a podcast, she shared insights into her spiritual transformation and faith journey.
Nausheen Shah explained that a dream initially inspired her to wear the hijab. “I heard a voice in my dream saying that if you don’t cover your head, the angels will leave you. As soon as I woke up, I picked up the dupatta and wore it regularly for about four months,” she said.
She added that she wore the hijab consistently, both on shoots and at home.
Feeling of living double life
Despite wearing the hijab, Nausheen Shah revealed she began to feel she was living a double life. This inner conflict led her to rethink her choices, eventually deciding to remove the hijab.
“I asked Allah for forgiveness and removed the hijab, even though I used to style it beautifully and it felt nice to wear,” the actress said.
Embracing spirituality and prayer
Discussing her faith, Nausheen Shah shared that she prayed for guidance and a closer connection with Allah. “I prayed, ‘O Allah, call me towards you and if you love me, then bring me towards prayer.’ Allah accepted my prayer, and now I pray regularly,” she said.
She emphasized that her spiritual practices help create order in life, protect from evil, and shield a person from harm, highlighting that this journey is for her personal betterment.
