The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has entered a new phase of high-quality development, emphasizing sustainability, innovation, and shared prosperity through joint efforts by Pakistan and China. Speaking at a seminar on “Economic Diplomacy in a Changing World Order,” Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepening cooperation and supporting Pakistan’s economic growth. Professor Yao Weiqun, addressing via video link from Beijing, highlighted China’s 55-year plan focused on scientific innovation and high-quality development. Pakistan’s Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Irfan Soomro, called for national reform, self-reliance, and innovation, urging a shift from “aid to trade.” The seminar, organized by the Chinese Consulate in Karachi and the Economic Diplomacy Forum, gathered diplomats, economists, and policy experts to explore lessons from China’s model of economic diplomacy for sustainable growth.
