Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has once again deleted all her photos and posts from Instagram — but this time, she has opened up about the emotional reason behind her decision, revealing that she is both “happy and ashamed” about her past actions.
Alizeh Shah, one of Pakistan’s leading television actresses, recently cleared her Instagram account, removing all posts and pictures. A video of the actress has gone viral on social media, where she explained that her decision stemmed from grief and confusion about her life.
She said she felt “happy and ashamed” after deleting the posts, admitting that she did not know what she was doing with her life before. “I didn’t understand myself then. Everything I posted was coming from a place of pain,” Alizeh shared in the video.
Battling mental health struggles
This is not the first time Alizeh Shah has spoken openly about her mental health. In a video shared earlier, the actress revealed that she has been living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), caused by negative experiences in the entertainment industry.
She said those experiences left her feeling mentally drained and made her “hate herself” for being part of showbiz. “The things I faced made me question why I ever entered this industry,” Alizeh confessed.
Once among the most talked-about faces in Pakistani television, Alizeh has been away from dramas for some time now. Most of her updates have come through social media, where she often faced both admiration and criticism for her fashion choices.
She previously responded to online criticism by saying that her mother never restricted her clothing choices — showing her confidence and independence despite online trolling.
Not the first time she wiped her account
Interestingly, this isn’t Alizeh Shah’s first digital reset. She deleted all her posts twice before — once in September last year and again in April this year. However, her latest move appears to be a deeper, more personal decision tied to her healing journey.
In her recent video, she hinted that she does not know when she will return to social media — but made it clear that “the old Alizeh or old photos will not come back.”
