ISLAMABAD : Under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the first batch of students from the University of Gwadar’s Technical and Vocational Institute has arrived at the Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology (SICT) in China to complete their three-year diploma program. This milestone, stemming from a 2023 agreement among the University of Gwadar, Gwadar Port Authority, China Overseas Ports Holding Company Limited (COPHCL), and SICT, aims to equip Gwadar’s youth with world-class technical skills and global exposure. All expenses, including tuition, accommodation, and travel, are fully sponsored by the Pakistani and Chinese partners, reflecting their commitment to human resource development. The initiative, led by key figures from both sides, marks a significant step in fostering educational cooperation and building a skilled workforce for Gwadar’s future.
