Actress and TV host Amina Malik made an emotional revelation on Samaa TV’s morning show Subh Samaa ka Sath, recounting the pain of losing three pregnancies and explaining how the birth of her younger daughter after those losses changed her outlook on family life.
She also discussed parenting choices, mental health, and plans beyond acting.
Amina told host Madeha Naqvi that she experienced three consecutive pregnancy losses, including delivering babies who were already dead. She described the period as “the most painful time of my life,” specifying losses of a seven-month-old and a five-month-old, and another tragic episode in 2020.
The actress said she had one daughter before the miscarriages and that her younger daughter was born after those losses, after which she decided not to try for more children.
Amina described the emotional toll and the intrusive social pressure she faced when people urged her to have more children. She said bluntly that after what she endured, she would not tolerate comments pushing her to try again — “if they asked for children now, I would slap them,” she told viewers.
Parenting principles and daily life
On the show, Amina said she has two daughters and stressed she avoids spoiling them with processed foods. She told how she insists guests feed homemade meals rather than ordering pizza or fast food for her children.
She also shared personal values, saying she cannot tolerate liars and prefers straightforward relationships in her life.
Amina urged people struggling with mental health to consult professionals rather than confiding only in friends or relatives, warning that informal venting can sometimes worsen problems.
She advised fellow actresses to save money and invest, urging producers to give more work to actresses who support families. The actress also revealed plans to start a real estate business, though she did not provide details.
