Bollywood villain-turned-actor Rajat Bedi has revealed that his daughter Vera was upset after social media users compared her looks to Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The comparisons began after Vera’s pictures and videos from the screening of Bedi’s latest project, Bastard of Bollywood, went viral.
Rajat Bedi returned to the screen after a long break and attended the premiere of his web series with his wife, daughter Vera, and son Vivaan. Soon after, clips and photos of his family circulated widely online, with many users describing Vera as a “young Kareena Kapoor,” while some even said she looked “more beautiful and charming” than the Bollywood star.
Vivaan, meanwhile, was compared to actor Hrithik Roshan by several fans.
Rajat Bedi breaks silence
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Bedi explained that his family is not used to such attention. “My children have no idea about the media, the showbiz industry, or red carpet appearances. They are completely innocent,” he said.
The actor noted that his wife and children live in Canada, where they are accustomed to a different lifestyle. “They don’t know how to interact with the Indian media. Suddenly, after attending the screening, my daughter became a star, and my son was also projected in the media as one,” he added.
According to Bedi, Vera herself was uncomfortable with the comparisons and felt upset being described as Kareena Kapoor.
Rajat Bedi admitted that his children were not prepared for the sudden media glare. He emphasized that the family’s outing was meant to be a private moment but unexpectedly turned them into trending faces on social media.
