Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have condemned the deadly attack by terrorists resulted in the martyrdom of several innocent civilians in the Tirah Valley’s Bagh Maidan area.
According to details, in his official statement, the prime minister condemned the incident in the strongest terms, saying that the nation’s resolve would not be shaken by the terrorists’ nefarious objectives. He directed immediate medical attention for the injured and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms.
Moreover, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government also expressed profound grief over the incident. KP CM Gandapur announced financial assistance of Rs10 million for each of the bereaved families and Rs2.5 million for each injured individual. He said that the provincial government remained committed to sustainable peace, public safety and the promotion of mutual respect.
The chief minister has convened a jirga in Pehswar, comprising tribal elders and elected representatives, to address local concerns and sentiments. He said: “A series of jirgas at the divisional and provincial levels would commence next week.”
He instructed district administration and relevant institutions to strengthen public engagement and maintain order.
The chief minister added that proposals to address such incidents had been prepared during the All Parties Conference and would now be implemented.
