The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday cancelled the bailable arrest warrant issued earlier in the day for Leader of the Opposition Omar Ayub Khan.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case related to the October 4 protest, during which the court had initially issued a bailable arrest warrant for Omar Ayub and ordered the confiscation of bail bonds of several absent PTI workers due to their non-appearance.
Later in the day, Ayub’s counsel appeared before the court and submitted a request for exemption from personal appearance, along with a medical report.
The lawyer also clarified that his client had not received any summons notice regarding the hearing.
