Government reaffirms commitment to CPEC phase II, focuses on Chinese investor confidence

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal chaired a special meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Chinese Investment Projects to review the progress of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiatives. The meeting focused on resolving issues faced by Chinese investors and accelerating the implementation of key projects, especially in Gwadar. Iqbal emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a secure and investor-friendly environment, protecting local interests, and ensuring timely completion of CPEC projects to boost regional trade, foreign investment, and employment opportunities.
