ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will reach Quetta on a day-long visit today (Thursday) to express solidarity with the people and assess the security situation arising after terrorist attack on Jaffar Express.
According to sources, the prime minister will preside over a high level meeting to review the law and order situation.
The prime minister will also be briefed on the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express. Sources said that important decisions will also be taken during the meeting to deal with terrorists.
Earlier on Wednesday, the in a statement posted on the social media platform X, the PM expressed shock and sorrow over the Jaffar Express attack, which claimed the lives of innocent passengers.
He stated that he had spoken with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, who briefed him on the latest developments regarding the attack.
“The entire nation is deeply shocked by this dastardly act and saddened by the loss of innocent lives,” he said. “I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and pray that Allah grants them the highest ranks in Jannah. I also wish a swift recovery to the injured.”
The Prime Minister went on to announce that dozens of the terrorists responsible for the attack have been “sent to hell,” as security forces continue operations to eliminate the threat.
