On Wednesday, a civil judge reached out to the high court with a letter requesting that PTI founder Imran Khan be tried in jail for the case involving threats made against a female judge.
The case was heard by Civil Judge Muhammad Murid Abbas at Islamabad’s District and Sessions court. Advocate Sardar Masroof represented Imran Khan in the proceedings.
During the hearing, the judge pointed out, “This court had formally requested the high court to begin the jail trial for this case, but we have yet to receive any response.”
Afterward, the court decided to adjourn the hearing, leaving the matter pending as they await further developments.
