Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that the New Gwadar International Airport will begin operations on January 20, marking a significant milestone for regional connectivity and development. Initially served by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the airport is designed to handle larger aircraft and international flights, featuring modern amenities and advanced security. Strategically located in Balochistan along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), it aims to boost trade, tourism, and Gwadar’s role as a global maritime hub. Additionally, after a hiatus of over four years, PIA resumed European operations with a flight to Paris, reflecting broader advancements in Pakistan’s aviation sector.
