Its deck covers an area nearly equivalent to a standard football field, stands about as tall as a 15-story building, and weighs approximately 25,000 tonnes. China has achieved mass production of T1000-grade high-performance carbon fiber using a domestically developed manufacturing process, marking a significant step forward in the country’s advanced materials sector. According to China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), the carbon fiber is now being produced at scale in Shanghai and is expected to support strategic industries including aerospace, embodied artificial intelligence, and the low-altitude economy. The newly mass-produced material is a 12K small-tow carbon fiber, meaning each bundle contains 12,000 individual filaments. Each filament measures only about seven micrometers in diameter, roughly one-tenth the thickness of a human hair. Despite its extremely small…
China is accelerating its summer harvest and planting campaign while stepping up efforts to guard against floods and other weather-related risks, as heavy rainfall and the arrival of the country’s main flood season pose challenges to grain production in several key agricultural regions. During an inspection tour in north China’s Hebei Province from June 1 to 2, Vice Premier Liu Guozhong called for all-out efforts to ensure a successful “Three Summer” campaign – summer harvesting, summer planting and summer field management – to lay a solid foundation for this year’s grain production. China is currently in a critical period for…

In a letter addressed to Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and shared on Instagram, Mustafa noted that most cinemas operate within shopping malls and are therefore directly impacted by the government’s early closing policy introduced under austerity measures. He said the limitations were hurting box office performance at a time when new films rely heavily on strong early audience engagement. A modest extension in operating…
