President Asif Ali Zardari will undertake an official visit to Kyrgyzstan from today until July 9 at the invitation of the Kyrgyz president, leading a high-level Pakistani delegation. Foreign Office stated that, President Zardari will hold a one-on-one meeting with the Kyrgyz president, followed by delegation-level talks covering bilateral relations, regional and international issues, trade, investment, energy, mining, agriculture, textiles and cooperation in other key sectors. The visit marks the first by a Pakistani president to Kyrgyzstan in 21 years and follows the Kyrgyz president’s visit to Pakistan in December 2025, reflecting growing high-level engagement between the two countries.

China launched a new satellite group for a commercial constellation from the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site in southern China’s Hainan Province on Sunday. A Long March-8A rocket, carrying the 15th group of the Qianfan (Spacesail) polar-orbit satellites, blasted off at 9:43 p.m. and has sent the group into the preset orbit. The federal government has approved the inclusion of non-banking finance companies in the Prime Minister’s Apna Ghar Scheme, further expanding public access to the housing loan programme. The decision was taken on the proposal of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), allowing more people, especially those without traditional bank accounts, to apply for affordable housing finance. Under the approved expansion, non-banking housing finance companies and investment finance companies will be able to provide loans of up to Rs10 million under the Apna Ghar Scheme.
