ISLAMABAD : Pakistan is all set to send first batch of relief goods to earthquake-hit Myanmar today, Tuesday. A flight carrying the relief material will depart from Islamabad International Airport. The first batch includes 35 tons of aid, which consists of 565 tents, 210 tarpaulins, and 2,000 blankets. The shipment also included 1 ton of prepared food, half ton of medicines, and 10 water modules. The process of the repatriation of afghan refugees residing illegally in Pakistan will begin today (Tuesday) as the March 31 deadline for the voluntary return has ended. Sources affiliated with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department home department said that the Afghan refugees will be sent back to Afghanistan starting today (April 1). Tremors were felt in the district Barkhan of Balochistan early on Tuesday, hours after an earthquake jolted Karachi. However, no immediate reports of damage have been received. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.9 and occurred at a depth of 12 kilometres. The epicentre was located 59 kilometres northwest of Barkhan.
