Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning that water levels at Baloki will rise within the next 18 hours as floodwaters continue to move downstream in River Ravi. According to PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia, the rising water will affect areas of Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Sahiwal. He said the flood surge will reach Sadhrai in about 20 hours. The PDMA chief added that India is continuously releasing water from Thien Dam and Madhopur, which has worsened the flood situation. “A major flood surge has already passed through Ravi and is now moving towards Baloki,” he stated.

A Polish Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed during a rehearsal for an airshow in Radom, central Poland, and the pilot died, the army said on Thursday. “A Polish Army pilot died in the crash of an F-16 aircraft -an officer who always served his country with dedication and great courage. A local court in Lahore has extended the physical remand of well-known YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for another four days. He was presented before Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo at the district courts on Thursday. The government prosecutor informed the court that further investigation is underway and several names have surfaced during the initial five-day remand. He added that complete details will be presented before the court on the next hearing, requesting an extension in remand. However, Ducky Bhai’s lawyer, Chaudhry Usman Ali, opposed the request. Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves recorded a modest rise of $47 million this week, pushing the total to $19.61 billion, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
