The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Thursday approved a reduction in the basic electricity tariff by 62 paisa per unit. Nepra’s annual review of consumer tariffs, covering January to December 2025, has set the national average electricity tariff for 2026 at Rs 33.38 per unit, down from Rs 34 per unit.
